Some Day You Will

Some Day You Will

Some day you will

I saw this plank nailed to a telephone pole in my neighborhood this afternoon, and I found its cryptic message both reassuring and daunting.  It offered encouragement, but it also challenged me to step up and make something happen.  It made me pause and think about all the things I'm not doing now but that I will do...some day.  What things?  And when?  And is some day... tomorrow?

  1. Thanks, Vandy--I like the idea of seeing the sign (and any other message) as a "leap message" or a "grow message." And I love the idea of making deliberate plans to take "small leaps." Sometimes we only have a small distance to travel, but we still have to take a leap to get there. Great stuff.

  2. What a great sign - and as you say, really thought provoking.
There's an interesting link with your recent post about "Leaping and Growing". This feels more like a 'leap' message.
I now set deliberate plans to make small leaps. Sometimes it's just diving in and learning how to do something new (slideshare this weekend, online video next...).
Other times it's a bit more than that. We set individual goals this year that made us to commit to deciding some of the things in our 'Some day you will...' box:
    One new skill,
    One new place to visit,
    One charity to support
    for the year.
Now we actively support each other in getting to those 'somedays'
I really like your found sign - its a great thought.

  3. That's a great sign with deep message for the viewer. It shows, once again, how a photo with only 4 words can shake and awake us to take an action or change the way we think. We hear what we see.
