Last night I did a workshop on interpersonal feedback and coaching skills with Stanford's Entrepreneurial Commitment Group, a select network of early stage venture founders who meet monthly during the course of the year. I did a similar event with the ECG in 2014, and it was rewarding to see some familiar faces and to meet some new founders who just joined the group this year.
A condensed version of my slide deck is above. Thanks to the many coaches, educators, psychologists, neuroscientists and management thinkers who have influenced my approach to these topics. There are too many to list them all, but the ones whose work is referenced here include Antonio Damasio, Brené Brown, Carole Robin, David Bradford, David Rock, Edgar Schein, John Gottman, Joseph LeDoux, Mary Ann Huckabay, Richard Francisco, Scott Bristol, and Victor Johnston.
Thanks to the ECG members for their enthusiasm and hard work last night, and thanks to the incomparable Alex Tauber and Nancy Gross, who invited me to get involved and whose efforts keep the ECG community thriving year after year.
