Hi Ed, Thanks for the latest pic /post. I notice now one last thing is taking forever to load on your page as it opens up. Thought you might want to know for your viewers who are still on slow conx's.

Thanks, guys. I should have mentioned that the photo's from the National Portrait Gallery / Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington DC, which re-opened July 1st after a major renovation to the former Patent Office building that both institutions share. I was lucky enough to visit two weeks ago, and a highlight was the collection of folk art from the South, with an extensive look at the work of William Christenberry, where I found that sculpture and the Thornton Dial quote.
It's really an amazing place. We spent a good part of two days there, because there's just too much to absorb in a single day. Don't miss the Portico Cafe, which overlooks F Street from the second floor (in good weather.)
